Encase you haven’t been up to date with programming/developer news over the past few days I’m going to give you a quick run down of some of the major announcements.
* PHP 5.3.0 has been released! – Lots of new features have been added to the release like Namespaces and Lambda functions.
* NetBeans 6.7 released! – Some new additions to the popular open source IDE (click on the link to see them).
* FreeDOS turn 15 years old! – This old timer is still going strong and is even being bundled with new netbooks.
* Firefox 3.5 released! – When it comes to browsers I’m happy with my Firefox and now Mozilla claims that Firefox is 2x faster.
* VirtualBox 3.0.0 released! – For all those virtual machine fans VirtualBox 3.0 might be worth your time.
I guess this week is open source release week (I kid). Anyways I might start doing an overview of developer news from now on if you guys want.
