Posts Tagged ‘netbook operating system’

I happened to see this video yesterday on the main page of google videos and was surprised at how polished this operating system looks.  It is called moblin and is designed for the growing popularity of netbooks.  At it’s core it is linux but it sports a very sleek and simple UI for the average user.  If your a netbook owner you might want to check this out.  One thing to note though is that it is still in beta but it does seem very stable.  I was actually at BestBuy yesterday looking at netbooks and seen that they start at just $250 and go up.  I might invest in one so that I can start programming on the beach.  The only downfall to the netbooks is the fact the keys are so small.  Anyways below is the video for the Moblin 2.0 OS and you can visit the official site at Moblin.org.
